What’s up friends!! Happy Jun. 1!!
Yes, it’s officially June 2017, and I’ve been graduated from graduate school for less than a month. Since I’ve always been completely transparent with my followers, I’m going to be completely transparent with you guys again. Right now, I’m looking for a job in NYC. It’s always been a dream of mine to live in NYC, and I’m big on making my dreams a reality.
What started as a dream in eighth grade has turned into a career goal. Now that I have a Master’s degree and I’m looking to start my career in multimedia journalism, I want to go where all the best journalists go. Where do they go? They go to NYC. When I’m given the chance there, I know I’ll make it.
In order to get a job and get to NYC, I want to brand myself more professionally. I want a website and social media handles that can stick with me for the rest of my career, so that when I make it to the journalism big leagues people can easily find me and respond to my content. I’m a firm believer that every person should evolve over time as they learn more and more about the world they live in. I want to live true to my belief.
Therefore, I’d like to announce that this website is no longer titled “Runningforlife2.” Although this moment is certainly bittersweet, I’m super excited that my website now has its own domain, allyspiroff.com! I’m also changing my social media handles on Twitter and Instagram to @allyspiroff and @ally_spiroff (who took @allyspiroff as an Instagram handle before me? Haha, wait, what?) respectively instead of @runningforlife2. I upgraded my grad school capstone project with its own domain as well, thewiseoldwomen.com.
I got my start as an online journalist as @runningforlife2, and I’m forever grateful for all of the people that backed me as @runningforlife2. I want these original followers not to worry right now. I’m still Ally Spiroff! I’m still the same crazy runner talking about the same eclectic content on this website and on all of my social media channels. I’m still growing and I still want all of my followers to grow with me.
I also want to let you know that the fun has only just begun. The website and my social media accounts will continue to evolve as my career unfolds, which means Ally Spiroff’s online presence is about to get really exciting. Stay tuned! This website will probably have a totally different look in a few years.
Wowowow! As I’m writing this post, I’m pretty hyped about the future possibilities that are out in front of me and out in front of you guys. Let’s continue to take on life together, because it’s easier and more fun when we’re doing it together than if we’re on our own. Keep killin’ it y’all, and I’ll keep killin’ it too. You don’t have to worry. 🙂
Thanks for staying with me and for reading and watching my content! I really appreciate it. As my final words in this post, I want to say a whole-hearted peace out to @runningforlife2. I loved you as a username and a handle, and you’ll always be a part of me. Now, it’s time to evolve, and say what up to @allyspiroff, @ally_spiroff, and allyspiroff.com (and thewiseoldwomen.com for that matter)!
As always, peace, love, and running (fast),
the same crazy Ally Spiroff behind all of your content
